How to let him hang with me but deal with poop?

Yep...sadly enough...they poop  If Amy is with me on my shoulder,I wear an old tee shirt..if she is going to be perched anywhere for any length of time, I put down news paper..if she messes the carpet, I clean it up immediately..if its REAL nasty..I have a portable steam cleaner that works real well.
In the car,I lay a towel over the seat..On Al and Saltys visit Al made Amy an awesome pvc pipe perch that is held to the seat by bungee chords and I put a towel under that.

BB's poops are tiny and very easily cleaned up..I just deal with it

My Sun Conure usually has to go every two hours, depending on what she's eaten. Just like a puppy...right after meals, after naps and every two hours...so,either I let it go longer. I can usually tell when she's ready to go just by her body language and I,quickly take her to the play gym on the porch. She's only 7 months old and I'd say she stopped pooping on,our shoulders about 2 months ago. That's a biggie. She knows as soon as we put her on her play gym that it's time to go. She's rarely caged, but when she is, she holds it until we let her out for some reason. So it's a mad dash in the mornings, but I'm getting up for the dogs anyway, so it's no problem. :orange:
Your sun conure holds it for 2 hours? Wow! Mine needs to go about every 10 to 20 mins and if she has eaten fruit..well it's more like every 2 minutes. You are so lucky! Molly is only 4 months old though and potty trained but I definitely have to get her to a potty area every 15 to 20 mins or all bets are off.:orange:
