How old?

Hello I've had ageorgie for over a month now believing he/she is 5 months old. However many people have said that the ring around the eyes colour, the feet colour, and lower beak colour suggests he/she is older? I'm having real hard trouble trying to tame this beauty and I'm starting to think it has something to do with the age... Everything suggests an older bird who has never been tame.
