After a bath, Sweet Pea has always preened herself dry using orange peel. We slice an orange in half and place one half on a skewer.

Our first lory would preen himself dry using bark from his table top perch stand.

Does your parrot use something to preen with after a bath?

HAHAHA, that is so precious! Doesn't Sweet Pea smell like an Orange when she's dry?

None of my birds use any objects to dry on. In the winter I offer them a towel, but only my Hunter will snuggle with it. :)

That's so neat that she uses an orange peel to dry off!!

My Quaker just sits there til she's dry.. she doesn't preen when she's wet. Maybe I should give her an orange :p haha

cooper doesn't use any items like that. he will just preen normally and sit there and play until he is dry.

How cute! Pancho rolls around in towels and blankies till he's dry! :) <3

Oh yes, she certainly does smell like an orange when she's dry! And if we happen to be out of oranges when she's done with a bath, she whines and whines about it. So we try to make sure we don't run out. :)

Oh that's just TOO funny!!! Gotta love our wonderful Feathered Friends!!!!:D

Goldie has to rub against the bars of the cage or against her straw pine cone toy.
Jada rubs all over me, her cage mate, and her rope type toys. Jada has also been known to stuff paper under her feathers.
Milo sulks and preens.
