How much to microchip?

I tried searching old threads on here about microchipping and seeing if anyone talked about the price. (I did learn that it may be safer for the parrot to be "put under" for the microchip to be placed safely thanks to the old posts!) Someone on here also posted that the parrot has to weigh more than 250 grams, is this true? Cause Roxy is a conure and only around 62 grams. I just want the most effective way to find her in case we get separated.

Also, the breeder I got her from do not use legbands because of research showing birds' feet getting injured from them. So I assumed not to bother getting one. Just wondering if you guys think this an okay choice too? Thanks!!

(she is clipped... saw in some posts that others thought that made a difference in whether to microchip the bird or not)

Last time i checked birds need to weigh 100 grams or more. Yes, bird will have to be "put under". Price depends on your location and choice of AVIAN Vet.
