Hormonal or just pissed?

My princess used to make her 'crabby noises' at me whenever I came home with a different hairstyle (either changed colour, or a particularly dramatic cut). I would not pick her up until she'd settled down - usually a day or two later (she would bite otherwise!). She also hated nail polish on my fingernails, but liked it on my toes - go figure

:D you have to be very consice with the time out thing, you may have to put him in and out 5 or 6 times in a row, but he'll cop on quickly. the worst thing for many birds is being isolated from their flock, whether that is you or other birds. Also, don't make to much of a fuss over it, just firmly say "NO" stand up and walk him over to his time out cage and put him in - if he then gets even more fussy, just ignore it and continue to place him (gently) in the cage. then after a minute or so (i sometimes take 2 minutes if he's REALLY bold) just take him out again and spend some quality time :)

I can't really tell if it's hormones or just moody,
it depends on sooo many things, diet, sleeping pattern etc. try be consice in all these things, and hopefully it will just resolve itself :)

All the best of luck!

Ps. I'm sure your hair is lovely ;)

Alright, next paycheck heś getting a time out cage. Hopefully this works out. Today he was his old cuddle bug self, flipping on his back under my chin and kicking me and didnt bite even once. For some reason he likes to lay on his back and play with me with his feet it is funny to watch.
