I used Tops birdie bread and added half mashed plantains to the applesauce amount. I had planned on using bananas, but when you send your 16-year-old to the store for you and just tell them to look for extra ripe this is what you get.  I rolled them in organic coconut and some millet. Put a piece of walnut in the center and there you have it. Tequilla will eat anything the test will be to see if Tito will try them.

Huh. I buy the sesame seed bars from the natural foods coop and call them “birdseed bars”. That’s what your cookies remind me of!

Plantains are yummy fried with ginger or cinnamon, green onion…and birds like that, too.
