Hi...i am new!!

Hi Everyone..my name is Kristy...I am a newbie to this site...
I am a mum of two boys aged 5 & 7, who are such beautifu little souls... I have a Human-like Dog named Keisha, a Bearded Dragon named Tango, a husband of 13 years... & I am the guardian of two beautiful parrots, named Tiki & Indi....INDI is our newest member, he?? is a gorgeous Blue/turquoise Indian Ringneck, & is approximately 8 months old, & TIKI is a yellow fronted Kakariki, we have had Tiki for about 3 years now....whereas Indi has only been with us for 4 days....lol...I got Indi from a breeder, & came up with the name as soon as I saw him/her..
I live in Port Elliot S.A. Australia...so I am a South Aussie...lol
I am also a photographer, & a stonemason, I am a tomboy, love doing boys stuff, getting out there, giving things ago...I love my BMX bike & tattoos...I love animals & my pets... in my eyes I see them as equal to us...I HATE animal cruelty...makes me sick to the Gut!!...
My family is my life..& that includes, my furry babies, my feathered babies & my scaled babies....lol...
INDI IS MY AVATAR...Dont know yet if hes male or she's female..lol

Hi and welcome - to an another Aussie. getting to be few of us here now, which is great. Love your birdies. What is a kakariki like as a companion bird? Have seen them in pet shops but dont know much about them.

Tiki my kakariki is a funny little fella,he's got a great personality, havent had him talking,as really i dont know if they do or not...he squawks & chirps all the time, i can tell when he is happy...& thats pretty much alll the time...lol..
When we got Indi (IRN) home last friday night ...tiki took to him & befriended indi straight away...they have been hanging out & flying around together...Tiki is a real little pal...I hope when Indi talks...tiki may copy him...I think Tiki thinks its great to see another bird in the house...they both have massive seperate cages..& they fly from one to the other...Indi goes & hangs out at Tiki's house & vice versa...lol
I think they will be great friends..

Welcome. I am also owned by a ringneck, but he is much older. 30+ years. Ringnecks are great little birds, loud as the dickens, but wonderful. I always tell people my Chico is my best behaved parrot. He will hang out with anyone, and as long as he has been in my care he has never bitten anyone. People ALWAYS want a parrot after they play with him.
