Hi everyone, I'm Karen from Glasgow.
I've had a few parrots over the years but now only have a beautiful 15 month old male Greenwing macaw called Fregley.
Freg is adorable, he can be a pain at times but he's too cute to be angry with haha!
He was a single chick so didn't have any brothers or sisters to keep him in line, does anyone else have a single chick?
I was just wondering if they differ much in behaviour compared to parrots with siblings.
He was hand raised and we visited him as often as we could until he was weaned, we got him home at 20 weeks old.
I've socialised him as much as possible and his vet is amazed at how laid back he is.
He's great with everything except other people, even my husband can't get near him!!
I do have a health concern with him, I've posted an essay in the health forum, any info would be very much appreciated.
I absolutely adore animals and have a huge collection of just about everything but Freg is definitely my favourite!!
Here's a couple of pics of my boy.....
