Hi Im new to this forum and just wondering. What sort of fruit and Vegetables are good for my 13week old baby galah. She likes carrot and apples.

I have no answers, but I'd like to welcome you to the forums!

Welcome to the forum :D

Galahs can eat a large variety of fruits and veggies. Just remember that galahs are designed to live in a harsh climate and are highly prone to fat related ailments(fatty tumors, heart disease, fatty liver disease, obesity). Try to feed less fatty foods, and keep them fully flighted if possible. Dark leafy greens, broccoli, red/yellow/orange peppers, cabbage, and some other foods will help to keep the liver healthy.

This thread will give you a idea of whats good or bad for parrots in general

Welcome to the forum!!

Glad to have another galah here!! Haha

Copperarabian is the galah diet pro here, and my galah's diet was created with Ashley's fabulous advice in mind. Chili eats a variety of fresh fruits and veggies every day, along with pre-made (homemade) chop mix. Except she also eats birdie bread because its the only way she'll eat her pellets. Lol. Chili's wings are currently clipped, but I'm letting her grow them out because exercise is very important for galahs.
