and welcome to the forum:)

Feel free to chat about yourself and your Birds on here.

Welcome to the forum. Would love to hear all about your Rose Breasted Toos. I have a very good friend who wants one. It is her 'dream parrot', but her hubby thinks they have enough birds already.

Since yesterday am feeling really sad. I left my boyfriends pet galah outside the back yard to have some free play time and his wing is clipped so he can't fly off.
I went inside to do a few things and came outside again to find he was gone :'(
We both looked everywhere and couldn't find him.
The backyard is secured with 5 foot fences all around.the only thing is the house is situated on a corner block by a non busy roadside.
We have noticed these days ppl do walk past and some ppl do look in the property as they walk past.
We think someone could have stolen our galah:'( :'( :'(
To have our beautiful pet stolen from us its like losing someone you love.

That is so sad :( clips birds CAN and DO fly. Make fliers, talk to rescues, vets, wildlife shelters. Make online adds. Do all you can and don't give up. Is he banded? Or have any identifying traits?

I know you didn't mean anything by it and that it's popular to do so in Australia, but I would never leave a pet bird outside alone.

So sorry and worried for your bird too. please do post fliers, ads in "lost + found" sections of local news media, check with shelters and rescues. I hate to say it, but there some folks who take another's beloved pet for the possibility of a "reward". Ugh! Wings clipped or not they also fly. Don't give up yet. I pray you get your baby back.

Thank you copper and jenday for your messages :)
Our baby isn't banded and he says a few words like cocky, parrot but no long sentences :-(
We are in the process of making fliers etc in the hope our baby is returned.
He doesn't have any medical or health issues but I'm very worried and sad about him and not sure how they survive out there.
I suffer from depression and this is just a sad situation we are going through :'( :'( :'( :'(

A I was reading I was really sad for you guys :( then I seem that you found him and now I'm happier then before!
I once thought I had lost my kitten when she was only young. I looked everywhere for her inside and I couldn't see her, I panicked and walked te streets, posted things all over the Internet, then had to go to work. Halfway through the day my boyfriend messaged me saying he found her under the bed. I looked so many times under there and didn't see her! Lol.
I know how it feels when you loose a pet or think you have, it's horrible. If only they could always find their own way home! :(
Thank god you found him!! :)

hi there peoples I have some sad news again. my boyfriend and I lost our pet galah again but this time really not good news :'( :'(
our bird this time was in my back yard but at the time he was secured in a cage that we both provided our bird.
my 3 year old son had taken the bottom tray out from the cage while at the time I was doing a few things inside. our bird must of escaped from the bottom and I'm assuming our bird waddled off heading towards a door mesh and climbed it that was leaning up against the back fence.
I live in a unit and my next door neighbour has a dog. both my boyfriend and I checked the back neighbours and knocked on doors then the back neighbour looked over the fence where the dog is with my boyfriend and saw some feathers but looked like pigeon feathers not our bird feathers we thought.
so we knocked on my neighbour with the dog door and she checked then informed us that there were some pink feathers on the other side of her back yard but no body of the bird....
I'm so devastated and so sad about it happened so quick.

Oh My, I am so sorry to hear about your Galah. I do hope it was able to escape & is just shaken up from the ordeal. How long has it been missing? I am hoping you have good news soon that it was found & is ok.

the next door neighbour has found our baby's body :-(
she said to us she caught her dog pulling at it so she quickly got it off him.
she gave us our baby in a plastic bag and was sorry that it happened.
both my boyfriend and I are going to bury our baby underneath my rose bush :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( just so sad this has happened.
our baby went missing on Friday afternoon.
