Hi there.

Engage CHarlie more, Greys are very smart and capable of learning so much. SOme foraging toys and some more chewing toys would maybe make him happier.

Try to get Charlie to eat a variety of vegetables, too. CHerios are not really parrot food, I give Salty 3 or 4 in the AM , with his pellets, 2 kinds of fruit in the lunch time and veggies and Avicake in the PM. Make sure he has water available all day too.

As mentioned above, it is up to you to engage your bird and give him things to do. Most birds enjoy playing with toys, noises on the TV, being talked to, and most do really well training with positive reinforcement (training using rewards for good behavior).

It would also be wise to get your parrot on a diet of pellets, fresh fruits and veggies and occasional seeds and nuts. Cheerios are not meant for a bird's diet, so that needs to stop as it is not something they should be consuming on a daily basis. A well-rounded pellet would be much better!

Hey Abbass - here are some questions you can ask yourself.

* Is charlie bored?
* Could charlie be scared of something in the room?
* Your old posts talked about him being scared of hands, aggressive, and not stepping up. Is he scared of you now? You might need to rebuild some trust again
* Is he very fluffy, breathing heavily, or weak? He could be sick. (but you took him to the vet recently so this seems unlikely)
* Do you talk to him or sing to him?
* Do you weigh him? Has he been losing weight? Does he eat enough of his pellets?
* Is he interested in fruits or vegetables? Maybe he would love some chop?

Remember, parrots aren't just there to look at, they're almost like kids. You have to love and play with them and teach them things. They thrive with company and one-on-one attention. The more time you spend with them, the more you see their personality.

I live in arabic country here they bring the parrot from congo in illegal way ,so they are wild and aggressive

Engage with Charlie, spend a lot more time talking to him, you need not be right next to him just in the same room. If he was taken from the wild the poor bird will need comforting and need to start to trust you. This will take time and effort. good luck.

Do you have an avian vet where you live?

If he appears scared, it may help to provide a way for him to seek cover "behind" something. This may help him to feel more relaxed. Do you have any way to provide such a cover?

Hi everyone the problem is not physical i guess he needs more attention and since yesterday i stopped feeding him seeds and sunflowers and i am feeding him vegetables as breakfast and i add fruits during lunch and in between i am feeding him dry pellets but he is not eating much ... is it a problem if i cut the seed And continue that way... because he is used to seeds from the begining
Thank you

With birds that are on a seed diet, it's best to made the change gradual. Cut up some veggies and fruit and mix them with the seeds and present them that way, so the bits of fruits and veggies (cut up really small, bite size) should stick to the seeds so he'll have to taste them in order to get to the seeds. Make it a gradual process, otherwise he may not take to the new food and starve himself.

IMO first thing to consider is Charlie scared? Are those toys on his stand new to him? If so did you just put them there from the start? Many times the size of a toy is the issue with a CAG, has been with my Perjo. If the toy is bigger than them they might be afraid of it for weeks.

Then consider other things like heat registers in the home, is that warm or cold spot of the room? Is there a breeze when standing on other area of the stand?

And as others mentioned YOU have to interact with the bird and do so a lot. Perjo and I dont have a dull moment when I'm home, as I type she's making a hundred noises and whistles and I just respond with a follow up noise.

I'll just yell out "where are you" once in a while just to get her to respond.
