Help with a new Green Cheek owner

I hear ya. Our girl still protests for a short time in the cage, but eventually goes off and plays. It has definitely helped that we take her to the cage when she has to poop. She has learned that going in the cage rarely means she has to stay there. We put her on the perch, she poops. Most of the time we pick her back up again. Sometimes we leave her in with the door open. Sometimes we close the door, but stay in sight. She will call out if I leave her sight, like when I let the dog out. I've learned that if I start talking before I leave the room and keep talking out of site, she stays quiet - mostly.

My previous roommate streams video games on twitch and has a gcc. It adjusted to his crazy schedule which is mostly nocturnal. His routine seemed very key to the bird being so ok with the odd hours.

I can't believe with how crazy obsessive I am about research for my Birdies that I haven't heard more about this flock calling? I've had a screaming parrot for several months now and I've been ignoring her because that's the advice I got. Ignore her so as not to reinforce bad behavior.

His gcc flock called to me. I'd call back and he felt reassured and was quiet until the next "hey where are you"

My man teased me a lot about being as noisy as the bird lol. The house is definitely too quiet without him
