I hear ya. Our girl still protests for a short time in the cage, but eventually goes off and plays. It has definitely helped that we take her to the cage when she has to poop. She has learned that going in the cage rarely means she has to stay there. We put her on the perch, she poops. Most of the time we pick her back up again. Sometimes we leave her in with the door open. Sometimes we close the door, but stay in sight. She will call out if I leave her sight, like when I let the dog out. I've learned that if I start talking before I leave the room and keep talking out of site, she stays quiet - mostly.... I am only waiting now for her to get used to the fact that sometimes we might be home and she might be in the cage...
