HELP PLEASE! desperate bird Mom!!!

Wow I have had 3 birds I potty trained and this has never been an issue and they were potty trained in hours. I suggest using a play top cage without the bottom part that catched the poop actually inserted. That way perhaps the birdie will poop while on the play top of the cage and no realize it's the actual cage. The poop will end up in the actual cage, therefore hopefully making them realize that can poop in their cage. Also, get a bigger cage which as suggested could help. If this doesn't work...I think you'll have to leave the bird in the cage until they poop. In you're there reward the bird for pooping in cage. They'll have to go eventually even if it takes 24 hours or something. One other idea is to potty train outside of cage then move the Target to inside the cage using treats. Pine nuts work well for my birds or safflower seeds. Good luck!
