Indian Ringneck
I bought an Indian ringneck a month ago and I'm having a hard time getting her use to me. I feel she is starting to suffer from lack of attention. How do I socialize with a bird that's scared? She has tons of toys large play area days without ever being locked in her cage.
The breeder said she would calm down and she hasn't and I think she's get worse. I've owned conures in the past and never had an issue. How do I stimulate her ? Get her to socialize? Is she out of my league?
I'd rather figure it out then rehome her. Please help.

Is your bird scared of you? Or generally scared of sounds and toys around?

Are you able to spend time with your parrot?

IRNs do take time to bond but scared for a month is a little too long. The bird does get aclimatized in 2 weeks time though.

The link that Terry has shared is perfect to start with. You may also want to spend a lot of time in the same room so the bird is used to seeing you also.

IRNs are amazing birds - intelligent, agile and little rascals :)

Be patient spend a lot of time & have fun
