is this a possible sign of scaly leg mites on his feet? it seems to be peeling on his right leg but im not sure if it's because he just has dry feet. i'm really worried for him, it seems to me that he had dry feet but recently there seems to be large pieces of dry skin appearing (see 2nd pic)

As a standard birds have dry feet. It is possible that you are seeing very early signs of scaly leg mites. You can treat for it, but it would be a better idea to have a Avian Medical Professional to take a look at it to confirm and recommend a treatment based on a hands on examination.

Doesn't look like something bad to me. My birds get it sometimes. Just like humans, birds can sometimes get flaky skin. You can try gently misting him with water if he doesn't mind. I heard coconut helps for dry feet. I've tried it on my birds and it seems to work. If you want to be extra safe you can ask your avian vet about it. If it starts to get scaly and rough, then definitely see your vet.

It could be mites although, I’m not familiar with early stages in feet. I’m very familiar with mites on the face however. So this, I cannot say whether it is or isn’t but I would recommend a trip to an avian veterinarian and if it comes back negative, I would apply some coconut oil to the feet to hydrate them a bit.
