Help! I think I'm being lied too!

When I got my sun conure she was 9 months old and looked a lot like that bird as far as the yellow feathers. He doesn't look well kept and I would think a reputable breeder's birds would be in better shape.

If he's close you should go see him you never know he may be a really nice bird. I got my sun conure from a pet store and I know she came from a bird mill but she was the sweetest bird I had ever seen. That and I had to break her out of jail.

Good luck and keep us updated.

You know - if the bird is calling your name and you don't care how old it is...go and get it. Sometimes it is "the bird" for you. Like I do on CL. :D

So, I contacted the "breeder" again and asked her about the hatch certificate or even a hatch date. She said she bought the bird from out of state and that she didn't have either. She just seemed a little TOO shady for my taste and I couldn't bring myself to support her by buying a bird from her. I still feel bad for the baby though and I hope he/she finds a good home soon. Thank you all so much for your help!

Luckily I was able to find a reputable breeder a little farther away from me (about 3 1/2 hours) but it was definitely worth the 7 hour round trip to bring home my perfect little 3 1/2 month old Sun Conure! I will be posting pics soon of the new love of my life. And the WONDERFUL experience I had with the breeder I got "him" from!
