As a general rule of thumb, harlequins are "red" hybrids with the big honking greenwing heads, where-as catalinas are "orange" hybrids with smaller B&G heads
Here's a couple of pages with both hybrids where you can see the difference - the first one, the difference is quite obvious

The second one, by color alone, both look to be harlequins! But if you look at the head shape, it gives it away as to which hybrid each bird is!

I'm no expert by any means, as I can easily get them confused! Especially when we are talking about multi-gen hybrids!
