I’ve bought this baby macaw of 7 weeks a week ago from a friend of mine that didn’t know how to handle this way to young parrot !
I’m experienced with parrots but still doubt if it’s a Catalina or Harlequin macaw ?
Does someone know ?

For me it looks more like a harlequin macaw

But to make it more complicated, there are more harlequin/Catalina-alike hybrids (eg ruby gold macaws), so actually without knowing its parents we can't be 100% sure. But Catalina and harlequin are the most known, so I guess harlequin macaw (because Catalinas are more orange than red)

My rule regarding Species is that the Parrot needs to be at least in its adult feathers, which is like three years from now!

NOTE: Have Baby Formula available as Parrots this young may revert to not eating solid food when a change like this occurs!

Hello, I totally agree with you he’s way to young but as I said I didn’t have a choice I was obliged to take him I couldn’t leave him alone with a unexperienced person. For the moment he only east Macaw baby formula.
