hamster wheel for green cheek

In regards the to possible problems with their toes getting caught. What about turning this into a DIY using a tupperware container and something to affix it straight to the cage bars like this (without the wire)? What do you guys think? FYI, update on the silent spinner, new one, 6.5 inches, no holes or slits, but 20 bucks in store, just checked their online prices, 11.99, and they show a 12 inch model for 22 buck. If you give them your email, you get a good discount and easy to get free shipping!

I have two of the silent spinners, but I think Monkey Nut the rat would give them to Foo over her dead cold body.

TacoNTiki or Mimsy01 can you tell me what size silent spinneer your Green Cheeks run on? I bought two, the first was a 12" and looked too big so I bought a second which is 6.5" and it looks too small. I want to send one of them back but don't know which to send back. As you know they are a bit pricey.

I don't have one for my gcc. I 'had' one for our hedgehog and it was the largest one they sell. The one in the video seems too small, if that helps you decide.:)

TacoNTiki thank you! I have both and the bigger one seems too big. :(

I was wondering about the wheel also. Thanks for posting those videos. Very cute! I guess Sheldon will also have something under the tree this Christmas :-)

Onehorseranch I am waiting for an answer from trainers who use them. They said they'd get back to me as soon as the woman talks with the ones who actually use the wheels for training. She has been very good about communicating thus far. I'll let you know what they say about size. My Green Cheek seems afraid of the big wheel and she isn't afraid of much.

A thought, put some of her favorite treats in the wheel
