Tiki gave us a scare today when we found he had a piece of hair wrapped around his toe/foot. We had quite a time getting it unwrapped and endured quite a few bites. I am worried this will happen quite often as my daughter and I both have long thick hair. Do you think we over worried and hair is something a conure can pick and unwrap themselves from? We were just worried that it would be cutting off circulation.

Anybody have any experience in this? I thought it would be a common concern since conures are such little acrobats and can get a strand of hair wrapped around their feet pretty easily. Please give me your experience whether they are able to untangle hair easily or not. Thx.

All I can tell you is I am constantly looking for and picking up syray hairs.

I roll them in a ball before throwing them away.
