Green Cheek Conure
Hi all! My name is Brittany. I am from NYC, but have been living in NC since 2002. :/ Anyways, I purchased my first parrot yesterday to add to my family. :) A 3 month old Green Cheek Conure. I named him Tango. He is cute as can be, enjoys a good neck rub, a little nippy, but that is to be expected.

I also have two horses, two German Shepherds, a bearded dragon and a ball python(don't worry, he is in a secure tank rooms away from my little bird) ;) I'm a huge animal lover, if you can't tell. I hope to learn some new things about my little Conure from this site. I have done extensive research, but I love hearing personal experiences. Look forward to making some friends.

Hello, Welcome to the forum.

Congrats on Tango, he looks adorable :)

Thanks for the welcomes! Haha, yeah. I've been getting a lot of eyebrow raises from people when they hear I now have a bird AND snake.

Welcome to the forum from another lover of all things feathered, furred or scaled:) There are a lot of horse people here, and others with snakes.

I have 3 cats and 2 birdies and my friends think I'm crazy, but honestly... the cats are afraid of the birds! It's kind of funny. (although I would absolutely never leave them alone together)
