The May 25th I had a stoke, and was in the hospital until the 29th. When I came home all the flock was excited to see me. At least I thought. We were getting everyone out, and I was giving them some loving. Then I went up to Rita, and said 'Hi' she nipped my finger a little which I wasn't shocked then turned around and nailed my other hand. The next morning she was back to being a daddies girl. Odd?

Holy smokes! I am so sorry to hear about your stroke. Are you all right?

Yes, I think Rita's behavior was normal. The big macs can hold some grudges sometimes. When we were away from home for 3 days, Niko made sure I got a good pinch before he allowed snuggle sessions.

Wow. I sure hope you are feeling better!

My left side is weaker now, and it takes a little bit to connect the dots on things at times if you know what I mean. They also found a hole in my heart, and my heart beat is off some. They said I was lucky, and that we got to the hospital right away . I thought I was having a bad migraine then started stumbling, thenmy left side started going numb. The hospital is right down the street, and by the time I walked into the ER I couldn't remember my address or how to sign my name. Messed up ordeal to say the least. I keep being told I need to take it easy, and that is the main cause of my stroke. I got in trouble because I wasn't out of the hospital but 16 hours, and I was sharpening our lawnmower blades, mowing the lawn, and weeding the gardens.

I was actually worried about how our flock would react to the changes in me. We have really had to start working on the birds nipping, and biting because I am on blood thinners now. One of our rehomes is bad about it and thinks it is a game to latch on to your finger and do flips or just spin because the lady who used to own her was a boxer, and training to be an MMA fighter so she would play ruff with her.

Take it EASY man..... You don't want to get hurt because your reaction times may be a bit off (sharpening our lawnmower blades)

Sending the BEST Vibes your way !!

Wow, so sorry about your situation! That's rough. Yes, as Joe says, take it easy!

Regarding the biting bird...My Fiji does that every single time I go on vacation. The minute I get back, she runs over to me, so happy to see me, running up my arm to my shoulder...then *CHOMP!* right on my chin. It's always on my chin, a hard bite! It's like she is punishing me for leaving. I just take it as a compliment that she missed me, lol.

I am so sorry about your stroke:( Thank goodness you got to the hospital quickly.
I am praying for a full recovery for you.

Hope it was mild. Wishing you a full recovery.
My B&G, Maui Lu, always holds a grudge, too. I WILL get the cold shoulder treatment and then the vacation return pinch every time!:blue:

I'm sorry to hear about your stroke :( I hope you recover fully and asap! :)
Over the years when I'd be gone, Robin never acted any different despite being bonded to me:) different personalities.
