I'm sure you don't care what bird it is no more than I would. It's a real beauty, and I'm envyous hahahahahaha! If it's not a Chaco Blue Front, it's doing a marvalous job impersonating one. It's on my must have before I die list.

So what exactly is the chaco? A hybrid with what?

NO Ma'am i think it's the region they come from, the chaco region is a little more arid and has fewer large trees, like i said ,there's many sub-species from different regions, i think the chacos are more coloreful than the ones from more dense woods,jungle.

Seems henpecked knows her Amazons pretty well!! Seen them, been around them, but never owned one or wanted one. Not the specie for me even though they're pretty. So I have no knowledge of them what so ever. I'm more of Finches, Parakeets, Cockatiels, Lovebirds, Cockatoo, Macaw, Quakers, and Kakariki. Those I have more knowledge about....Next venturing into Eclectus... Whatever he is, he's gorgeous and a good talker! But never hurt to know his exact type. I for one wouldn't wanna mistaken the type of my birds when someone ask me what kind of Parrot I have. Especially I know some bird people and breeders around....
