Hi Everyone,

I've read that African Grey's are breed specific identifying birds. That in the wild, they only hang out with other AGs, flock together at night and sleep in AG exclusive groups at night.

My question. I'm thinking about getting another AG to be a companion for my recent 22yo rescue grey. Would hopefully be another older rescue bird.

I don't know if my bird has ever seen another grey, and if he has, it's been decades, I'm sure.

Is this a good idea? A bad one?

He is a very sweet bird, extremely tame, regurgs on me all the time, healthy per vet.

Thoughts?

Don't get a pet for your bird.... He won't look after it!

If you want another bird, YOU have to want one..
