Frustrating

Oh, dont get me started! Every time I hear how little some people think of the value of their animals and their lives, my heart cries. And not only their own pets!
Here we have a massive problem with rhino poaching at this stage, and the extreme barbarian methods these monsters use. In some parts of town here even reports of dogs being gang raped. Worldwide thousand of animals slaughtered for money and pleasure. Truly makes me sick to the stomach to even think about it.
A lot of people have such big egos that there is no space in their hearts for the love of an animal. But what truly gets me is how someone can sit by and watch how an animal that is under his care waists away from hunger day after day while he makes sure that his belly is full.

OK...I will stop now.

Hey Dani, somebody must have pissed you off! Sending you hugs and good vibes!
-people who think "oh, my parrot is mean to everyone/isn't tame/screams/plucks/makes too much of a mess, so I don't like it. I am going to get a different parrot, and either sacrifice this one to the fires of Craigslist or keep it and neglect it while I play with my new toy parrot who will magically be perfect all the time." Bonus points for: "And my new bird will be a cockatoo!"

well, many of us are out to pick up those... I feel that part of my purpose here is to help poor neglected birdies. "Fires" of CL are better that total neglect for years because the birds have chances to get adopted to good homes. And thankfully I'm not the only one - there are many, many more. So don't worry too much about that - for every moron thinking that way there is one of us who will help the bird out. :)

Ahhh... reading all this stuff gets me riled up. I'm a firm believer that animals and children are victims of circumstance. In no way is that an excuse for the way they are treated, but it saddens me that a "responsible adult" can do such harm to those who are so innocent...

My brother and sister in law hate me, which is fine. I'm so blunt with them. I took their dog 2 years ago and since they've gotten two dogs after that, both sold. They don't want me to know because I'm on their case. I still have their dog from 2 years ago, where they had issues, I have none and drill down to the issue bluntly to them. Recently their kids were talking about getting a bird, I veered their parents off. They don't want to take the time to feed or care for them properly. So I am not nice, very blunt with them.
