Fresh new cage setup!

Yeah, I figured but Iā€™m less vague with friends so in my pea brain I felt as if I had to say that. As for geography of AK, I canā€™t say anything about anywhere that isnā€™t south/southeast as I havenā€™t studied the state, nor been farther than like 4 cities.

Uh oh, howā€™s you know? Was it my food ideas?
Yes! You think like a chef. Ever watch "Chopped"?

My family has said that but I never really thought much of it but you and they are quite right now that I think about it. I do make some killer peanut butter or cinnamon maple sugar cookies too šŸ‘€

Actually, I have not watched it! Whatā€™s it about? Do you know what platform (like youtube, Netflix, paramount+) itā€™s on?

A cooking game show. Four chefs participate in Three rounds of a full meal. Agter each course one chef gets eliminated (chopper). Appetizer. Main course and desert. Each course has a required ingredient basket plus a full pantry and fridge. The contestants have a time limit for each course. A panel of expert chefs are the judges. On the food network. Terrific show.

Ooh that sounds like an awesome show! Iā€™m gonna see if itā€™s on any of the streaming platforms we have! Thanks for the recommendation!

Have you watched Nailed It! Before?

Is it something new? What's it about?
Nailed it! Is a show that started in I think 2018? Anyway, itā€™s a fun baking show where amateur bakers try to replicate the baked cakes, cookies, and treats of professional bakers, cakes and goods that took hours or even days to create. They usually have about 2-3 hours to replicate the baked goods and then the foods are rated by three judges, Nicole Byer, Jacque Torres, and a special guest each episode. Itā€™s actually taught me some techniques in baking as Jacque gives tips to the audience or people who hit the panic button. Itā€™s really fun to watch and Itā€™s on Netflix!

Chopped! is more than baking- it a three course meal show. It started around ten or twelve years ago.
Today little Rocky is six months old. Happy Hatchday, Rocky Baby Bird!

How do you train your parrot(s) to learn new tricks or behaviors?
Clicker training works but since I donā€™t have one, I use verbal praise and a high value reward like oat groats or safflower seeds. Different tricks have different progressions and there is no one size fits all for training. Some tricks are easier to learn than others. Like wave and spin for example. Rico has spin down to the point but he just doesnā€™t understand wave. He would just get confused and bite so after a month of it, I dropped it and tried doing steep descends which he got perfectly. Birdtricks and ElleAndTheBirds have some vids on trick/behavioral training.

I havenā€™t changed the paper yet but I plan to after math class. Today has gotten off to a rough start but I should be back on track soon. I wonā€™t go into detail but I kinda nuked mine and Ricoā€™s sleep schedule. New day, new slate. Today is gonna be a good day!

Nice. I have a question where did you get your cuttlebone. All I can find is little ones.

If you are anywhere in Alaska, you can get 3 huge ones at petzoo for like 2 bucks! And 6 giant millet sprays for $1.50!

I like the cage set up... But what I wasn't prepared was to see in your final posted pic!! Yikes.. Is that snow on the ground šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ ?? We had a mild winter here in Michigan, I shouldn't complain. But then again, you get Mr. Moose coming to your windows.. I get the occasional deer eating bird seed out of the feeders.. I think Rico is going to like the cage set up.
