Found two very hurt birds today.......

This afternoon I was walking with my mom, sister and her dog when she found two dead birds. A mom and a dad. I really cant stand seeing dead animals so I just walked away. Then my sister said "No! There alive!"
They were really hurt. There nest was a pretty nice one on the ground. I dont know if it was an older baby or the mom but it was on the ground and the baby near it.
My sister was keeping an eye on them and saw the mom die. The baby was still alive so we took it to the shelter. We dont know if it was just a little hurt and thats just how baby birds act or if it was really hurt. It kept trying to stand and kept falling. It breathed kinda funny. But I think birds might just breath like that.

It was kind of windy today but it didnt look like wind knocked them over. They didnt have marks, so it wasnt an animal. Do you think it was a human?

i hope not! its possible they were accidentally stepped on or hit by a bicycle? it could have been an animal, sometimes wounds are internal or hard to find. I hope they're feeling better, you should check in on the shelter and see how they're doing, poor babies . you did the right thing rescuing them!
