He has no symptoms of that and there's no feathers falling unless you pull one out I'll get my camera and take a better shot tomorrow I can loose any of my baby's. I lost my dove set ember 11 :( she was the best thing you can ask for in bird

It was lucky to find you. If it had found me, I would not have been prepared for the right diet.

You said the bird was skinny. It may have gone a long time without finding food and has some malnutrition issues. I, too, would get it to a vet as soon as you are able. In the meantime do what you can to take good care of it, and it's quite possible on it's next molt it will be back to a beautiful bird.

It is always a good idea to put a new bird into quarantine when you don't know it's history (and sometimes when you do).

No it feet an beek ar fine . It has put o weight not much a little in 3 days . I think it's had a poor diet or been out for a while

Since he's been out and about, best to keep it away from your lorikeet. It doesn't look like PBFD. But like it was mentioned already, only a test at the vet can verify. There are other deadly diseases that's contagious even to humans. Psittacosis....people do die from it every year. Very luck lory to find you since you own another. I love my lory dearly....

Have you considered looking for the owner. Maybe it is someones pet & they are frantic looking for him/her.

By the looks of the pic it is an adult. And doesn't appear to have the visual symptoms of PBFD however that doesn't say it isn't a carrier & can pass it on to young birds. Or a carrier for some other disease.

You should really have it far away from your birds & always care for it last & make sure you always wash your hands after handling it. Just until it's proven it has a clean bill of health.
