My B&G came home on one hand feeding a day. I've hand fed before and know how important temperature and consistency are and am always cautious to make sure it's right. To hot, burn the crop.. To cold, they don't eat it and can aspirate. To thin, don't get enough nutrition. To thick it tends to solidify in the crop and causes infection. **He is maintaining his weight and eating normal foods but still requests his bedtime feeding.

My vet and the breeder both made sure I knew the hand feeding process before they would release the baby.

However, I started running low on the little bit of his formula the breeder sent, so I contacted them to find out what it was and ordered some from a pet supply company. Sealed, no damage.

They look different. The one the breeder sent is lighter than this batch is and this one has more dark spots.

It's Zupreem Embrace Plus, what I was told he was being fed. Attached is a photo side my side. I did place the bag in the freezer until I was close to needing it, but I've never heard of that changing the color.

I just want to make sure this is right. This is my first time using Zupreem, when I hand fed my Sun Conure it was with Lafebers I believe. I am just paranoid something might be wrong with it.

It happens far more often than you may know with a very wide variety of products. It can be caused by applying to much tinting or not enough as part of the production run.

If you have the Product Packaging, compare to assure that you have the same product! If you do, look for product packaging code, commonly an odd combination of numbers and letters. This will define the product batch and with that number, you can contact the Manufacturer.

As long as you know that it is the same product, its likely an error in adding to much /not enough tinting (colour). The amount as a percentage is very small and rarely will it be a problem, at worst a slightly lighter or darker stool.
