Have to say although we have animal planet here, I've not see this show, but the videos look good, and I've been told they are good. At the moment I have no sound on this putor but will definately give it another look when things are running right.
We watch that show!! We saw Groucho when he was on. Very comical and entertaining! Smaaaaaaaarrrrrt bird! My amazon, Treeko, is learning to sing "Treeko, Treeko little star.. like an EMERALD in the sky.. he's almost got the whole song down. My daughters would like me to send a video in to Pet STar, but I know he would not perform in front of crowds. When we take him outside, he will not speak to strangers. Smart boy. He's only one, after all!! Just turned a year old. Maybe when he's a teenager he will be okay with speaking to strangers.
That is so cute, Treeko Treeko little star. what a star he is. I don't blame him for not speaking to strangers. Would love to hear him sing his song though.
I will have to set up a camera or recorder, because if we even acknowledge that we hear him singing, he'll stop. He sure likes to talk a LOT! I'm so proud of him; I took him in for a check-up Monday, and the Great Dr. Dalhausen here in Ohio practically raved over his condition. I was worried he may find something that I'm not doing right, it's a bit intimidating to have minimal knowledge of avian physiology and biology, but that's why we go to the specialists... anyway, he thought Treeko looked "magnificent" with no fat, lots of muscle, great feather and beak condition.. I was and am obviously very proud to be doing things right!! Okay, upon gram stain he did find bacteria in the roof of his mouth.. I didn't make him swish and swallow so the visit wasn't absolutely perfect. That's okay, though, his tech assured me that it is very normal, just needed some antibiotic for his drinking water and away we went, smiles and all.
I'll figure out a way one day to record him. He really is a funny character!
on your Vet visit, brilliant. If you manage to hide the video camera/recorder it would be brilliant to see/hear him sing his song. I always worry when I take any of my lot to the vet, so you're not alone there.
