Hi all! if my bf zon seeds got beetles or bugs can I still give him eat? The bug or beetle is same as the white rice want. The seeds all I keep in container also gt the beetle mah???*

I don't know what kind of bug that is, but I'd be hesitant to give it to the bird. I'd just get some new food, personally. If there are bugs in there, there's no telling what else may have gotten in. Saving some money on food isn't worth the potential vet bills (and guilt) if the bird gets sick.

If they came with the food then give it to them but a strict seed diet is a no-no try a variety of food pellets, vegies but NO lettuce:) or chocolate
try anything else.
P.S don't use tap water from sink it has chlorine a harsh chemical bad for birdie good for bacteria.
BEST WISHES! !

Seeds are a treat only. If your seed has bugs then take it back to where you bought them for a refund and please do not purchase any more there.

Thanks for the info... The mix seeds I bought a month ago. But I keep it on a container dunno how come got the bug or beetle. Do u guys knw the human cooking white rice? It's actually look the same as the bug or beetle.

And this few days I had notice that my bf zon act very weird. Maybe I will upload the pic ltr when I on my com...

If you feed seeds, you'll find bugs in it regardless what company makes it every so often. I know quite a few distributor, they're not as clean and good as some of you may think...it applies to all bird food, not just seeds...

Are you saying the actual bug looks like a grain of white rice? Or, are you saying that the insect is the same as rice tends to attract? And, are we talking an infestation or one or two larvae/bugs? Because as MikeyTN said-- anyone who ever buys bulk grains knows that you're bound to get an occasional pantry moth larva.

Nevermind i will throw off all the seeds. But i may pick up the almond Nuts and check see got the insect or bug or bettle whatever... anyway the shell in un-broke want... so i dun think is easy to get in also.

ok will here are the video of my bf zon act so weird. He happened to do this stunt for 2 to 3 times already.

pls click on the picture to watch the video.

By the way i got Bought the Clicker, but not really sure how to use it... can someone tell me what should i do????

Your bird looks extremely uncomfortable... If he was mine, I would get him to the vet as soon as possible...

I agree with lene1949, he looks so itchy :( He looks like he's itching inside and out. Maybe he ate a bug (are they maggots??) and it was crawling inside him or on him. Not sure if that's possible, but either way I would get him checked out by a vet. Good luck, I hope he's okay!!

But my bf zon are very fine and eating well. And he look so active and scramming alot and taking alot too. And he do that stunt only abt 2 to 3 times.

Ya, this few days I had notice that he drop alot of small feathers and a few big feathers. So it's on molting period???

Regarding how old are him/her I am not too sure. But alot of forum peoples say it's ard 5mths to 8mths old. But it's confirm below 1yr old.

You were worried about his behaviour, but if he doesn't do it anymore he might just be 'very fine'.. This behaviour was definitely not due to molting... Something was really 'pissing' him off.

Im baffled....how did you determine his age just talking on the forums? Did the people not know his age where you got him from? The reason I asked about his age was because it seems to me he's acting out his baby stage. That's what it looks like to me. But anytime your unsure, you need to consult an actual vet in your area!!!

How do I find out the actual date of the age? Or real close estimate? I try to ask the bird shop which I bought him/her, the boss just told me it's was a baby... But in forums alot of ppls told me CFM below 1 yrs old. It's 5mths to 9mths old...
