Enzo - adopted Female CAG circa 2004. A truly amazing young lady!
My CAG, Enzo, will never fly to me head, never, always my arm or shoulder.... However, Enzo seems to fly to my GF and sons head, stop a second then fly away. She doesnt appear to launch any attack when doing so though.

Some background, Enzo and I have a very strong bond, possibly too strong. When she first arrived in my home she would let people pet her and step up, then Enzo started biting people and now everybody apart from me are a little frightened.

I think the head thing is maybe a lack of mutual trust between Enzo and others, really not sure. I do know however that slowly we need to get Enzo to be more accepting of the wider family.

My knee jerk reaction to issues like this is to isolate the parrots favorite treat, and from then on it only comes from the other parties, like your GF and son. Oh you'll get to give him other treats, but the golden ticket item comes from them.

Me personally have never let any of the parrots I've had fly or climb onto my head.
a) I dont like being pooped on
b) you loose what little control you have if they are on your shoulder.
c) many people have bird phobias and having one land , unbidden, onto their head is not going to help matters.

Thanks, we have been doing that for some time now where if anybody in the house then they give treats, I only give treats when its just Enzo and I which is a lot of the time.

Ill try harder to get her more sociallised I think, im sure Enzo wants to be accepted more she just's need to be less of a diva and drop the attitude i fear.
