Fitting out a cage

This is the cage I have for an Indian Ringneck.

I've never had a bird before, so have no experience setting up a cage. I don't know how much space they need versus how closely spaced they need perches to be to be able to get around comfortably, or where to put toys for best access.

I have branches and hardware to make as many perches as I need, I have lots of toys to go in as well, plus I am having fun making my own - a swing, ladder and bungee so far that you can see in the photo. So I can fill the cage to the brim if needed.

So I would love some advice, or any rules of thumb for spacing/positioning perches

Beautiful cage! Looks great to me, I'd start there and make adjustments as necessary on down the road.

indian ringnecks need a lot of handling to remain tame(daily) and they like to be entertained so changing toys up every month or so is better than overloading a cage with toys, they like to move around, so maybe a few more perches would be good! Always good to see how your bird copes with what you already have installed. I've heard they like to perch at the highest point in the cage to sleep but im not sure this is true for all indian ringnecks as mine does not do this. I dont know if you are getting a baby or an older bird but if its a male they go through a sort of teenager stage lol bluffing and can get territorial over the cage or toys , it can be discouraging but they out grow it so be persistent keep handling him everyday! I don't know anything about ringnecks and their preferences but I just wanted to say, I am greeeen with envy at that cage!! I wish I could afford such a beauty. Cages are extremely expensive in my country.
Your birdie is going to love his home!

i've got that same cage for Parker...just some advice i would chain shut the top so your new baby can't get it open
