Hello, I have a female Ecelectus parrot, who I have had for numerous years now, and she will not stop squawking! Whenever she is in her cage she will just squawk like nobodies business. I have no idea what to do about it. The landlord says neighbours are complaining and I may be kicked out if I can't stop this soon! Please help, thank you.

Could it be hormones? How old is she?

Has she been to the vet? Is she eating? Drinking? Have you started to work more? Go out more?

Sorry, I know exactly how you feel, I'm going through it with Loki, patience and persistence, hopefully we can find a quick answer.

If this is new behavior, it is probably hormones. Ruby is hormonal now and thinks my son's pet turtle is her mate. His tank is near her cage and if she can see him, she is squaking and trying to mate with her cage. If we cover the side of her cage so she can't see the turtle, she is quiet. Maybe if you can figure out what she see's as her mate, you can control the situation. It could also be a change in your schedule or something new to her enviroment. Have you changed anything in the room she is in, or your schedule ?
