Feathered buzz saws...

This is an awesome thread. I never knew these monsters were so goofy and loving until I was in high school and saw a video where a group of biologists were in the jungle and literally 100 red macaws or more were there. The biologist would sit at a table and the macaws were on the table, rolling around, on their backs, playing with the biologists, getting head scratches. It was like watching a pile of puppies clambering for attention with no fear. This made me want a parrot more.

This is our feathered buzz saw Fiji, he will be 5 months old tomorrow. He's a little love bug half of the time and FiestyFiji the other half!

I love the poofy hair doo shot...

Yeah, I don't know how this whole "aggressive greenwing" rumor got started...
(Okay, yes I do. If you run, they will chase. If you jump, they will lunge.)

However, they also call them "Gentle Giants" for a reason...

Fiji is lovely! Cannot wait for him and Kyleigh to fly around your house haha

Steve and Mark, reading your posts and seeing your pictures of your "kids" just makes me want one more! shame on you two!! LOL

When Loki first came to me (~ June 1st, 2015), he wasn't having anything to do with being touched....

Now he loves it. Daily he seeks me out for some head scratches and allows me to touch him anywhere, anytime.

Its nice and rewarding to make this progress. It didn't happen overnight and I've had to work with him every day, but it is very much worth it.

Still hoping to get him to lay on his back on my lap or in my arms....but not quite there yet.
