hahaha Well you could always come for a holiday to Australia and visit Fargo ;)
My family members didnt agree at all! Mum couldn't handle handing over the money, she said here.. you give it to them! :p One of my brothers expected a present for that amount, and my other brother and his fiance said- oh well hes pretty, but i wouldnt pay that much for him... *tab death stares them* :p and i think the whole time leading up to getting Fargo my dad was saying, you arent seriously paying that much for a bird? hahaha

Oh wow thank you blackhawk! I am NOT a photographer haha, i just used my mums good photography camera and press the button :p Fargo's feathers look amazing through it! :D
It is a wonderful cage, Fargo loves it :)

Hey tab

Such awesome photos thank you for showing off fargo hes a real show off.

I love your corner cage i havent seen one like that before. Ie that size

I also know what you by people thinking your nut for forking out so much on a bird. Alot of ppl i have told said "your mad why would you spend that blah blah blah" my responce is you spend more on a couch or a car and it wont last as long or give you any love or affection.

Besides in the past i have spent more on computer upgrades.

Anyway cant wait to see more. Take care

Peter

Your so lucky your mom let you buy him. My mom would never even think of buying me a bird more then $200, I pretty much begged her all through middle school and high school lol XD I wish I got a bird rather than my car that I got for graduation(I didn't even have a license or cared about getting one at the time), except I actually needed a car lol I feel so lucky that Rosie was given to me by my friends, I could never of afforded a $2,0000 bird D: I can't wait for the day I finish my BFA, have a awesome job(and have moved out) and can add 1 or 2 birds to be a part of my family.

Fargo is beautiful as all blue and gold macaws are :)

Thanks Peter! Yes he is a show off ! :p
I got the cage on Ebay hahaha good old ebay ;) It was the biggest one i could find!

Thats exactly right!! I would much rather a parrot over a car! :p haha
You will have loads of pictures to share of Midnight soon! :D

My mum bought him because how many 17-18 year olds are there who dont go out socialising, and she knew he would be my best friend haha :p
Thats great that you got Rosie, it was meant to be! :)

Thank you all :D

LOL, That sounds just like me which now makes me feel kinda sad since my mom didn't see it the same way yours did. Now I'm 22 and way less social than I was in high school, My best friend of 13 years and I don't party, big crowds freak us out, we are a bit morbid, we don't drink or date(we joke that we're hetero life mates like jay and silent bob) We basically just hang out with our animals and spoil them. We both feel like such under achievers lol. She has her two cats and I have Rosie. When we hang out Rosie often comes with us too XD

it sound like you have a pretty awesome mom :)

YAY, the pictures are here! :D I LOVE how you did his cage. He's in MacHeaven over there! How does he like his waterfall/rattle toy? (The pink one with the beads inside) Niko was terrified of his for about a week, lol, and NOW he bangs it around like there is no tomorrow. :11:

Fargo has turned into quite the Acrobird, hasn't he? Hanging on one foot and all. :D

Thanks so much for sharing these. You could post pages and pages of pictures, and I would never get tired at looking at them. :)

Have you ever considerd taking Fargo into other modeling business ? Just order some hoodies from avian fashions and you could make a fortune lol Though, he is natural to the camera .

I might have to be at a conference in Australia next year, and if I can I will try to meet you and Fargo. There is some argument about having the conference there though, because its so far for us (in Canada). Fargo looks so happy, you must be an amazing bird mommy. You dont need to justify to any one where you spend your money, its no one else's business. My horse costs me thousands of dollars a year, and when people give me a hard time I just laugh. I tell them one moment with my horse gives me happiness that they could never understand, and that makes me sad for them. You cant put a dollar value on our pets, their worth goes so far beyond money.

Tab I think you really should consider pet or animal photography as a career. you really do an amazing job. Then you could do a side job on bird training.:)

Just looking at him makes me so excited to be getting a macaw!! He looks so handsome and happy!! :)

Oh wow i didn't think i would wake up to such kind words!!! hahaha

I dont know where to begin! ;)

Ok! Wendy, yes he did a funny attack on his rainstick when i first put it in, but now he loves it ;)
I have the HARDEST time trying to hang one of these shredding toys up, because he either just unclips the whole thing, or pulls it down so its disconnected to the top part and tries to hold it as a foot toy haha -.-

LOL i truly think Fargo would LOVE modelling, it's like he knows what i want him to do haha I think i will get him a hoodie for winter :p hahaha

Megan of course! Just let me know :)
Oh i have a horse too and i have spent FAR more on him than Fargo, but because he is a larger more common animal everyone seems to think its not expensive :p
'150 dollar rug.. yep.. just torn up in the fence' ;)

Bird trainer and photographer? Now that would be the perfect life, taking pictures and training Fargo all day, how can i do this!?! :p haha

He is one happy boy, and will be even happier when i tell him how everyone thinks he is beautiful :p

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!! All your kind words have made my morning marvelous ! :D

Ok so i took some more photos of Fargo today hahaha I cant help it, i'm obsessed!
He had a shower, the pictures aren't very good because i was using the underwater camera, he flapped so much, the camera was just fully wet ! But i thought Fargo's fans would enjoy seeing his bath time!

So, this is how he starts out in the shower... No mum, nope, i don't like showers, i don't care, i'm not going to enjoy this AT ALL!!!!

then just eating some food- he gets some corn on the cob as a treat occasionally, i don't think he even eats it half the time, just puts it all on the floor!

Poor Fargo  ...it's like he's thinking: "Hey mum, it's bad enough that you make me do this shower thing all the time, but then you have to go and photograph my misery :( Have you ever heard of the word 'privacy'? What did I ever do to deserve this "

Neat pics, Tab!

He is just so beautiful and he is so clever! :D
I am such a Fargo fan :D
It really makes me want to have a macaw but they are extremely expensive here and extremely rare. :D

Yes, they are expensive and it would be a good wait for a baby Macaw. I love Macaws myself but I know a large Macaw would be a bird more likely to attend my funeral even though I have alot of years left ... not to shot myself in the foot. :54:

Anyhow, Frago is great and it seems he enjoys having a fan base.

Hahaha, the shower pics are just too adorable!!!

My fav photo is the one where he preens his tail feathers, it's the most amazing photo I have ever seen! And I'm NOT joking! I can't even think of a word to describe his feathers! Just way too adorable!

And while looking at Fargo's pics, I just feel so jealous that you have macaw! You are sooooo lucky!

Hey Tab, when you have time, can you come to Melbourne and bring a car full of photos of Fargo? And write a 10 page long good things about owning a macaw? And show it to my mum? So that there will be 1% of chance of me getting a macaw?! :D

hahaha! Tony, that reminds me of the alvin and the chipmunks movie when the chipmunks taking a bath, and hes like- hey dave, there is this new thing.. its called KNOCKING!! :p haha poor Fargo, has no privacy ;)

Thank you guys :D

Hahaha! Lovemyparrots, sure! Im not sure how Fargo would like the road trip though ;)
Maybe just show your mum Fargos threads with pictures and stories :p

You can see in his tail photo, there are 2 which are ratty/barbered, they are the only 2 which are left from his first tail, now he has molted, he lost ALL of them except one short one, and a medium one, his tail is still only medium length, no where near as full and long as it was! but its growing really quickly :D
