hahaha Wendy you are amazing!! Thank you, people are going to be very confused- is it gimli or faia! ;)

Her skin is incredibly soft, like a baby.. and yes she makes little hissing noises, its how she would talk to her mum, she does it when you take her out of her big pouch and she is insecure

Hahaha its just like fleecy material, and sewn up in a rectangle shape, with the open at the top.. She goes into a fleece one, then a quilt one, then a doona one ! :)

Mum has only found one baby before, but he was too young, he was just a few days old, about the size of your little finger, but the carers couldnt save him!

Heres the funny part, i woke up at 3, fed her, it took an hour, and then i was just wide awake, we sat on the couch until 5:30 watching Lost.. hahahahaha

Mum came into my room to give her a feed, and mum said, why are you awake? And i said, was watching the finale episode of Lost!! and she said have you been to sleep?!
Of course, i just have a very strange sleeping pattern :54:

and i can do even better Wendy, VIDEOS!
But it will take a while to upload them because my internet is super slow

But here are some pics.. i took her out of the pouch quickly so you can see her body, she makes my hand and arm look huge hahaha

and look.. one big cosy family

D'aww... She's SO cute and bald. Hehehe.

I for some reason was picturing a wombat in my head when I read wallaby, so my first reaction to her picture was total confusion because it was the skinniest wombat I'd ever seen a picture of... :54:

Looks like you Canadians need a lesson on Australian wildlife LOL ;) :09:

We dont have wild wombats around here, im not sure if they are in Queensland  we have lots of wallabies though and possums. We have even had these little bilbies before  They used to come and eat my horses dinner :20:

You guys will be surprised with how quickly Faia grows up and gets all furry

Lol, maybe so! I'm my defence they both start with a 'w' :p. I actually think she's super cute without fur, though I'm sure she'll be even cuter once she is all fuzzy.

Oh my goodness... I just though, how cute would it be if she had a little hoodie just like Fargo?! Gah! Okay... I'll stop now.

I love her so much already :09: She had the runs again, but that will be expected because of the formula, her tummy has to get used to it!
So gave her a clean.. AGAIN :p

Then sleepy while getting some milk

So guys.

At 4pm, faia had her milk, and she was a happy and alert little girl.. I cleaned my room, did the horses, came back and she was just cold and eyes closed and wouldnt sit up for me
I ran out to mum, showed her, tried to warm her up

and then we looked at her her chest which had just bruised up really badly... She has internal damage :(

So we called the rescue people, and went to meet them, they said she definitely has internal damage and that sometimes they could be fine for a even a full week, they think they are recovering perfectly, but then the damage just hits them and they die

I showed her pics of her how she was up and alert, and she said i did a great job, and its not my fault, its the damage the car did, and there was nothing that could of been done to improve it, because little joeys dont do well on antibiotics :(

i was crying from 7pm till 11pm when i just had to go to sleep because my head was killing me!

She said the other thing might be, when a joey is in the pouch, if they are too young and havnt let go of the teet yet, if you pull it off them, it gets a cross on its head and dies..
and the lady said when the car hit her, it might have knocked her loose from the teet.. so 3 days later...

but she also said, sometimes you just cant save them, you just give them the best ending and keep them warm and loved until its time... and if it wasnt for me and mum she would of just died on the side of the road.

She took her and is going to call us with how she is, although i dont think the lady looked hopeful.... fingers crossed

Tab, I know how much love you gave Faia. You gave her your heart, you gave her food, you kept her in a pouch, and you did EVERYTHING and more in your power. :(

I SO want to give you a hug!!!

I will have my fingers crossed that Faia pulls through. <3
