Ew i find this beyond sick

These birds may also be wild caught and died while transporting them to United States. Might have got them for cheap or free, who knows. Even though transporting parrots who are wild caught is illegal this stuff still happens.

ya thats true i geuss it could happen like that.

I want all you guys to know how proud I am to be a part of this forum ... a lot of people talk about taking 'initative' but not many people do it, props to you Kelli, and Meghan and the rest of you who have taken the time to e-mail eBay about this ... I mean really, it turned my stomach this morning...

I just got this reply from eBay ... I bet it's generic ... but at least it's something:

here is another response letter

Hi Kelli,

I know about this -- I am on the message board that started the big stink this week. Here's the real tragedy: I personally contacted this man and asked him how his friend came by so many dead birds. He told me that he collected the dead birds over several years from friends at two breeding ranches and that between them they had about 5,000 breeding pairs. Unfortunately, what this man and his "friends" are doing is technically legal.

However, what he is doing is morally reprehensible, so one of our members has notified PETA and API, who are both active in protecting all of the rights of animals. If you would like to voice your support, I would check with PETA or API (www.api4animals.org) directly. You could also send the seller a message through eBay and complain to eBay that you find the auction offensive

Well the good ole UK does it again. I recieved a response from them,

All complaints concerning this user must be sent to Ebay US as we are not linked with them we are not in a position to do anything. WHAT A COP OUT

So if any of you can find me an email address of ebay US then can I please have it.

I have also been cruising round forums, signing up  and posting the link so hopefully more and more people will be doing something to stop this.

I tried to email as well but before I could get an address I had to enter a credit card number.we are definitly raising awareness.

Yeah awareness is great. I'm still finding rescue forums and posting on them, with luck we just might be able to stop people like this from trying to make a quick buck from this sort of thing.

I couldn't exactly find an e-mail addy but I went to contact Us and went to error on the website and got a chance to type an e-mail, so hopefully it will reach someone. I also reported the item.

they have added some new ones :( the guys screen name remains4u just gives me the creeps

eww did you see his Picture he does look creepy! and people are actually leaving GOOD feedback!!! GRRR it makes me sick.

http://myworld.ebay.com/remains4u/

exactly! good point Meghan!

after doing alot of research and contacting I have decided that the problme is Ebay what he's doing may be legal but we must complain directly to ebay and swamp them with negative feed back. Explain how you find it offensive as your pet bird is every bit as part of your life as a dog or cat and since people don't typically "hunt" parrots like other game fowl parrots should be prohibited.

The guy lives in Riverside, CA. Maybe we could report that to the nearest humane society to look into this "bird ranch" I bet something is not right there.

I'm looking to see if I can find this parrot breeder.

great idea tracy I hadn't even thought of that I am fixing to do the live chat thing with Ebay and see what I can find out.
