Elvis loves to come outside with me while I tend to my gardens, take wildlife photos, and bird watch!Unfortunately I can't take him outside now, it's winter, and I'm getting a blizzard Sunday night lasting till Tuesday morning (meaning snow till May!) Elvis is mad at me because of this cold weather, he wants to go outside. I hate to keep him cooped up inside, but when it's cold he has to stay indoors. He looks for his harness at times, and if he finds it he will bring it over to me and try to get me to put it on him and take him outside. I feel sorry for him, but I can't change the weather. He'll just have to wait for summer. I don't go outside during the winter (unless I'm going to the store) so I know how he feels about staying in all day everyday.

It is for his own good, but doubtful he understands! Does he enjoy looking outside through a window?

We have a dog who pulls that thing with the leash and the big sad eyes. But she has a coat and booties!

That is co cute that he wants you to put the harness on him! Is Elvis a tiel?

You are sooooo lucky he likes the harness. Poor guy... winter will be over before you know it and then he will forgive you :)

When it warms up outside I would LOVE to see him getting his harness put on ... if it's not too much trouble and possible of course :) How long did it take for Elvis to be OK with the harness?

OK, by then he might not take to kindly to it since he hasn't had it on since September. But I can show you when I put it on once it's warmer out.
It took about a week to get him use to it. He only had it on once or twice before he stopped biting it. He still doesn't like me touching his wings, but he'll get over that sooner or later.

Cool. Sorry off topic...but I love your avatar pic! It's an adorable pic. Seems like your tiel and budgie get along... that must be nice. My two tiels HATE each other LOL

I will have to try getting the harness on 'Nut. The neck hole is so tiny on the harness I'm always afraid to scratch his eyeballs out he thrashes around way too much. I've been using the diapered flightsuit on my tiels... I have a harness as well but suck at putting it on :(

I wouldn't wait, keep him used to the harness! Even if you don't go outside!
