Wow how time flies, my babies are now 2 months old and man have they grown i have posted 3 pics taken tonight for everyone to see .

The babies are eating great and alot... shrek even took a bite of my sugar cookie and wanted more..lol

I have upgraded them from the tank i had them in , to a small cage for like a quaker or something.. the first few hrs they wasnt sure about it and i keep 4 sides covered for most part except a few hrs during day i only have the top and back covered ,, they are exploring it alot, i have placed a perch on there and they will get up on it and then get off of it, they have lost of toys and i have found for now baby toys seem to keep them company, They have had a stuffed donkey since i brought them home and i forgot it over the holiday when i went out of town and man oh man they missed that donkey, ill never make that mistake again ...lol

lots and lots of feathers are coming thru on both of them and shreks is almost 2 inches long in some places...

they chatter at night or nap time to go to sleep and it is so cute, they sound like a cat and a dog at times.. and sometimes shrek will sound like he is growling and i crack up every time... one thing he did that surprized me is i was watching a concert on video and someone yelled woooo, and he mocked them , this has happed two time now the first time i thought it was a fluke but now im not so sure.

as christmas approches it is getting close for me to sale Fiona, this was the game plane since the day i bought them.. but i dont have room for the both and it breaks my heart , so if you know of someone looking for a sweet baby girl send em my way...

ps
for christmas I bought a 5 ft play ground very very nice and a new cage.. i will post pics of them later for everyone to see

You're selling Fiona??? That came as a bit of a shock to me...

Please make sure she's fully weaned and fledged before selling her... Also Christmas time is the worst time to sell an animal... I would wait till after.

Here in the states, Xmas is the perfect time to sell animals. People LOVE to by them for their kids, significant other or what have you. Are you will to ship Fiona if someone were willing to pay the shipping cost?

Haha, exactly why it's the worst time though! "My husband/wife/parents bought me this parrot for Christmas but I didn't realize how messy/loud/time consuming it was going to be, Rehoming fee applies!"

Christmas is still probably a perfect time to sell, I'd just be real nosy to make sure whoever's receiving it is aware and ready for the commitment. ;)

yes I know its been a surprise and I haven't said anything until now cause I was wanting too make sure, but it was the plan all along..i love her and I can reinsure you in this,i will have to have references from vets and friends, there going to have to show me proof they have a big enough cage and the ability to care for her... and on shipment...i know thru southwest if you fly in the states amd book it 14 days in advance you can get it almost as cheap as me shipping her, plus I won't ship with out meeting them...with out big time references...

it sadness me to have to sell her cause she is so loveable, but I also know I need the room for shrek...i have a small apt and I feel 2 would make it crowded...

If you never planned on keeping two, why did you get two?

the guy would not separate them it was either both or none .. .. I don't think me selling her is any differant then a breeder selling babies when they are weined... I just simply raised them.... this was the most local breeder I could find to me with out having my boy shipped to me and I just didn't want to do that...i can promise you I gave these babies the best of care, they have seen the vet every 3 weeks, they have gained the right amount of weight (i weigh them at least one n two times a week...and she will not go to just anyone

Is there a reason they couldn't be separated? It just seems strange to me...

I want an eclectus. I just got my first parrot not even two weeks ago and I absolutely love my baby. I'm not ready to get another one yet, but I'm already planning my next addition to my flock.

That is too bad that you cannot keep both of them. I had a male SI Eclectus and he was such a beautiful parrot that had a talent with helping people feel better. I use to take him to the hospital to help the mentally ill feel better. He was very good at that for sure.

I miss my Joaquin even though he died in 2005. So very different than my mini macaws he brought balance to my flock. I wish you well with raising your babies. They are coming along just fine and you take very good care of them.

Give them kisses for me....thanks..

The only reason they couldnt be seperated is cause he didnt want to have to feed any babies for 5 weeks when his next 2 clutches was due..

No,i haven't found her a home yet but I've been really busy and haven't had the time to mess with it so I've held on to her, but now that the holidays are over I will sale her ...

I hope you're ready to keep her, after all you bought her, you took her into your home and hand raised her... Even if she is the least desirable of the two, you still owe her...
