Lilo - Female Green Cheek Conure ~ Pal - male cockatiel ~ Pheobe - female cockatiel
We are haveing our roof replaced and today they are pulling of the roof. I don't know if they use chemicals or not but do I need to move her? I can put her down in the down stares bathroom it is three floors down and i can turn on the heater and everything. So what do you guys think. I am sic right now and don't have energy to move her to a different house but if I need to, I will.

They don't use any chemicals to remove old shingles as they use scrapers and stuff to remove old shingles. Then they lay down new tar paper and nail new shingles on.

Roof replacement usually doesn't involve any chemicals, unless they're sealing the roof before laying down roofing paper and then the shingles. I would be more worried about the noise, especially if you're on the upstairs level. She may not be phased by it, but keep an eye on her and see if the nail guns or people walking on the roof bothers her.

Ok, thanks. I will watch her and comfort her. Now my mind will be at ease. Thanks! :)
