I've never had too much luck with pelleted diets (my parakeet Fritzy, RIP, would spit them at you). I like Harrison's for the nutrition, but the color is just unappetizing.
I'm lucky though, in that Keupi will eat just about anything put in front of him. After his zinc poisoning last year, I'm hesitant to make any 'pet' food his normal diet. Working with my vet, he's on about a 40/60 parrot/people diet.
His people food that he gets are things like cheerios and oat/whole grain cereals, Gerber Graduates (dehydrated fruit, snacks, and cereal), fresh vegetables galore, etc.
I also keep, in my fridge (replacing every 6 months), Harrison's baby bird formula. When he was undiagnosed last year and not eating at all, this literally kept him alive and once diagnosed, was a supplement to his treatment. That and a bottle of Gatorade are always on hand for emergencies, as well as milk thistle.
