deposit sent on baby TAG

Well after about 6 weeks of research and soul searching I finally put a deposit down on a baby Timneh. He/she is a month old and ill know the sex in a couple weeks. I decided to go with big nest aviary in Texas. Shirley seems like a wonderful woman. She spent all day yesterday emailing me back and forth answering all my questions. Anyone had any experience with her? There are 8 babies available, so I requested a female. Great thing is if I'm unable to get a female from this clutch she will refund my deposit or give me first pick from the next clutch. So that was reassuring. I'm so excited, but I won't get my baby for another 8-12 weeks. But I know it will be worth the wait. Just more time to research and get everything I need.

Thanks everyone, yes I am very excited!! I have wanted one for so many years, and finally going for it. It's gonna be a long wait. Antoinette, I want a female because I read greys sometimes bond with the opposite sex. I know this is a generalization and each bird is different, but Shirley said based on my situation she felt I would be better off with a female. So I trust her judgement. She has 8 babies pending DNA and right now only four of them are under deposit. 2 want males and 2 want females, so hopefully I get the little baby girl I am hoping for!!!
