Hi everyone,

Well they are treating Sophie for the lump and she is doing well and will be able to come home soon, One thing they did say is that her feather picking is do to behavioral issues from our move. They think.

So i will need some help in dealing with this. She seems happy, she has tons of toy, i play with her all the time, but she has a routine that i keep. so im just not sure how to change this. I was thinking about tring some herbable stuff i seen on mysafetoy. What do you guys think ?

If anyone has some thoughts i am open, she will not be ready to start right away with this but in a week or so, she should be able to start training and be back to her self.

Did the type of heat chsnge with the move? Dry air can be a trigger for plucking,,, kinda like our skin being dry and itchy. Adding moisture to the air could make a big difference. Also try sprsy bottle with aloe juice. Another member just told us about aloe juice at walmart. Its in pharmacy section, in genersl area of stomach meds, lest at our local store!

For herbs, look up red clover for pluckers.

Good luck!

Yes it did change infact ! we went from what i call normal central air heat and cooling to the natural gas heat and air system. I find it much more drying ! so i can just well picture what it doing to her little skin. I did start with the spray just before she got so sick tho, and when she gets back home ( aslong as it dont bother her cuts) i will cont. with it.

a decent room humidifier is worth its weight in gold... I know you have quite a vet bill piling up, so if money is a worry right now, you can even put a large bowl of water in a couple areas or a pot of hot water so it adds moisture to her room. Just be careful with the opens bowl and hot water, but guessing that goes without saying, but its a great cheap way to add humidity to the room!

This might be a good thing for a bit while she is recovering...

Best of luck and I look forward to hearing all good news from this point out!!! :)
