11 month old Senegal Parrot - 3 year old SI Eclectus
I've been searching back through the various threads and there doesn't seem to be much info on them here. I don't think they are to readily available here.

Aren't they a rare find? I think I read somewhere that they aren't a common companion parrot.

I'm thinking the same thing. But I saw and ad on Graigslist classifieds that had 3 baby Cuban Amazons for sale.

There was someone advertising baby Cuban Amazons on Ebay classifieds. They were in Florida about 100 miles from me. The breeder was the one selling them.

Very informative article. So that is why the breeder put on his ad that he preferred to sell locally, but consider shipping if the buyer had a permit as well.

Here in la there's a few breeders. I seen a few seprate adds for them.
But they are concidered a 'rare' species of zon.
Very beautiful too

Hey Mike saw some babies the other day at a bird fair near you, might be the same ones.I compare them to a White Front but they sure are pretty.
Edit ;I didn't mean WF is not pretty, how can you not like a red, white and blue bird

Good, they have a bird fair coming to Orlando I think around August 14. Maybe they will have some there.

I'll be there,If the creek don't rise.

Cuban amazons are not generally available for the pet trade. They are exceptionally beautiful with voices that can shatter glass. I have on occasion seen one or two available, but in truth they are endangered and should be in pairs as long as they like each other. To keep one out of the gene pool is truly not a good idea.

Hey Parrottoys, fairly common here.pet qualitybabies 500 or less and breeder pairs to be had.I don't think we can sell out of state though. I don't have any but have had several chances.

Yeah, the breeder had 3 babies and was asking $350.00 each. But they were snapped up quick, fast and in a hurry at that price.

It depends on where you live I guess. Fairly common here. I see more cubans than mealys. Or more cubans than for say golden conures
Rarity is a area specific field

I see on Ebay classifieds that a breeder in Orlando has 5 or 6 baby Cuban Amazons for sale on one feeding a day. He's asking $650.00 each. It's rare to see them advertised for sale around my area.
