Eastern rosella; Juniper, house finch Zebra (RIP November 27, 2016), Eurasian collared dove Snowflake, ringneck dove Prince.
Hi, I just signed up and I want to know where to get a rosella? I have cared for finches, doves, and parakeets before. I live in California. And the funny part is I might not even been making this post in the first place. My friend's father's friend's grandmother raises rosellas and parrots. Normally rosellas are about 300-400 dollars, but this kind lady offered a handfed rosella for free. However, she is over 80 and a bit senile, so she forgot her address and I couldn't pick up my rosella.:58: The only other option was shipping, but it was in the summer and I didn't want to kill my bird before it even got to me. The offer was pending, and about 3 months later my friend told me she was still saving a rosella for me. The summer months were over and she could have shipped it to me, but I still wanted to pick it up myself. (We were about 2 hours apart.) And then 4 months ago I received news that her son had sent her to a nursing home in Florida. I'm still mentally kicking myself for not accepting the offer to ship.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I'm going to Everybody's Birdmart on Nov. 27, so we'll see if there are any crimson rosellas there.

Welcome!
I agree... Rosellas are fabulous birds.
You found a great place. I'm still pretty new myself, and I love it.

I hope you find your Crimson Rosella at the birdmart, I think rosellas are stunning. Looking forward to meeting your future bird.

Thanks so much! I'm also going to get in touch with an acquaintance I have previously bought birds from and see if he has any or one of his acquaintances has any this Saturday. Hopefully it goes well! :D
