My indian ringnecks beak has been peeling off from the bottom. Usually her beak is all red except for the tip. I went to the vet about another issue and mentioned how her beak is turning black from the sides and the vet said it’s normal and wasn’t a problem. A few days after it slowly started peeling/cracking.
I’ve heard it’s a natural process and so I’m not going to worry about it (especially since I know it could be because she loves rubbing her beak against hard surfaces after eating her fave snack )
Have you experienced beak cracking/peeling with your bird?
For reference heres some pictures of my birdies beak!
