HOLY HECK HOW DO YOU DO IT

I was learning playing only on a flute and I haven't even hold it in 12 years or more
I still remember the theory but I can't play anything, lol. I only remember "do re mi..."

Here my all experience with instruments finishes

3645

I practiced piano all throughout my child- and teen-hood (was forced by parents) but I never had any real interest in music tbh. I have so much respect for musicians tho.

In my case the flute was forced by school, so after few months I didn't have to use it anymore (now my cousin has it)

Totally I don't understand why some people force their kids to learn something, even when they are into something, it doesn't mean that their kid will want it too. I was working for 3 months with a person who is into playing on piano and both his kids go to the music school - one of them didn't want it at all and is more into art but he said that maybe she's not matured yet for it.... and she had to go there anyway

I think it kinda stems from people viewing children as extensions of themselves. A lot of parents don't seem to understand that their kids are individuals and that they may or may not have anything in common.

I'm such example of not having anything in common with my parents. Nobody knows why I am into parrots, my both parents are cat persons. So why am into parrots? The only bird person in my family was my great-uncle but he passed away before I was born and he was into pigeons/doves, not into parrots

3649

Same lol
I have no bird people in my family

3651

I'm the only parrot person in a family of dog people, LOL! My great grandfather was a bird person, but he was into pigeons as well. Used to breed 'em!

3652

I haven’t even met an irl bird person at all 🥲

3653
I've met one bird person irl but it's not her main hobby anymore. In the past she had about 100 birds but now just few - all of them are old birds because they decided to keep them after finishing that hobby. Actually, she moved out and her birds stayed here with her parents

I'm not counting single "meetings" with strangers (something like breeders)
(once time I've seen the admin of Polish parrot forum but I don't count it because we weren't even talking and he doesn't even know me)

3654 I try to play at least an hour on each of them every two days. so I get, like... 3 hours of practice on each by the end of the week-ish. It's fun, but it's tiring sometimes, but it's rewarding when you can create your own music with 100% of your own instruments. It's rewarding, and it sounds so much better than pre-mixed stuff, tbh. More work, but it pays off more in the end.

I was looking for reference pics of hyacinth macaws and...

"ALBINO hyacinth macaw"
"EXTINCT hyacinth macaw"
Not mentioning that "albino hyacinth macaw " shows a lutino blue and gold macaw and that "scarlet macaw hyacinth macaw " doesn't show any of these two
