LOL! Too cute!

The house is looking amazing!

Hey, Shirre! Just seeing this thread for the first time, today. Read through the entire thing in one sitting. It was absolutely amazing to virtually watch your house being built from the ground up! Thank you for sharing that experience with us. I enjoyed it immensely. And your new home looks beautiful!

Ohmygosh! You read the whole thing?? Lol!

It's been fun though to watch it being built before our eyes! It's been the longest 5+ months of my life though, I'll tell you that! Lol I'm so glad we're on the home stretch... I can't wait till we're moved in and we can enjoy our beautiful new home :) with 3.5 times the space we have now!

Ahahaha what a cute little boy you have there! :p LOL my daughter did a similar thing, only, not turning on a vac but each time her Great Grandpa coughed... hahaha. ahhh funny things kids. And the floors are gorgeous too! Pretty pretty shiny shiny....

Well, doors and trim went in the other day- I spent all day yesterday sealing seams and cracks on the trim, and I still have another day's worth of work on it. Hubby wants to add additional trim pieces to make everything look more custom, but we'll see...

Kitchen appliances went in last night!

And today the electrician is out turning on our septic system!! Yay!

So, items required for occupancy that still need to be done:
*septic inspection by city
*house/address numbers put on
*landings/stairs for exterior doors

Miscellaneous items left to do:
*grout entry tile
*finish sealing and paint trim
*paint touch-ups on the walls
*second paint coat in kitchen
*buy and install window blinds
*install floor transitions

aaaaand I think that's it! Shall we start taking bets on when we'll be able to move in??? :D

Okay...I bet you will move in on...April 24, next Thursday:)

Shirre, I just read this thread for the first time. Thanks for sharing your wonderful adventure. Your house is gorgeous and the property is the perfect setting for it. Absolutely lovely!

Terry, please don't lose count of your cockatoos, Dear. If you talk Shirre out of Chili, that's three including Popeye and Folger and they both have a reserved space at your house. Plus, they would be a bad influence on Chili.

@ Shirre - a junk food shopping spree sounds wonderful:)
@ Allee...oops, forgot about Folger and Popeye! But I can ALWAYS make room for sweet Chili too!

Thank you, Allee!! I'm just so excited to get in there- it's almost surreal that we're literally days away from being able to move in... I've been mentally planning decor and things, and we're ordering blinds today- we discovered that when the sun comes through all the windows in the evening it's bleaching the floors and cabinets  so for now we're keeping the floors covered with Rosen paper...which is fine because I want everything "protected" until it's time to clean and move in. :)

HAHAHAHHA 3 cockatoos?! oh my...LOL does reg know what you're conspiring??? ;)

I can't believe you are finally almost in there! Are you already packed?

And about Reg, let's keep this plan between us!

PACKING?! I'm not packing ANYTHING!!! lol all of our stuff has been in storage for the last three years, so we've only been using necessary things- which can easily be carried over when it's time. Current place to the house is like 20 ft?? Lol
