Cockatiels aren't snuggly

I used to take AJ out when I ordered fast food. He would sit on the seat instead of my shoulder. You better believe the cashier was surprised to see him!

Are cockatiels in general friendly towards a lot of people? AJ wanted to be friends with everyone and loved kisses from anyone. I was definitely his number 1 human but he loved everyone.

Coconut and Rascal do not like strangers. Rascal has been around a lot of strangers... he always flies straight onto my shoulder if I place him on someone else's shoulder or someone else gets him to step up. I know not all tiels are like this though... but I actually like the fact they don't like strangers

AJ was so tame that I went to an event 60 miles away with a bunch of strangers to an event and he had no problem at all. We waited in line to see Tommy Chong (yes!) and he was happy to receive kisses. I'm still shocked by how friendly he was with complete strangers.

God I miss that bird. What a crazy photo, I don't think that's ever gonna happen again!

AJ sounded like an amazing bird. Looking at that "portrait" of him makes me wonder if he was a "celebrity bird" himself. And love the picture with Tommy...."Far Out Man"!

Tiels are great little birds and I agree, often overlooked and underestimated "because they don't do much."
